I'm John Carroll, the creative mind behind Renovis Design, where I blend my passion for design with practical solutions. Based in Plano, TX, I'm a proud Texas Tech University alum. My journey in the world of design and consulting has been nothing short of exciting and fulfilling.

As the Designer and Owner of Renovis Design, I've been helping contractors and homeowners turn their dream spaces into reality. From pre-construction design and planning to creating detailed BIM models and realistic renderings, I'm all about bringing ideas to life.

Before diving into the design world, I was part of the Sherwin Williams family, where I not only managed retail paint stores but supported contractors in the north Dallas area as an outside sales representative. Sales, marketing, and understanding customer needs are in my DNA.

But hey, life isn't all about work! When I'm not immersed in design and consultations, I'm a dedicated family man. I'm blessed with a wonderful wife and two amazing daughters who fill my life with joy. Being a 'girl dad' is an adventure I cherish every day. We love spending quality time together, and yes, I'm also a bit of a video game enthusiast – it's my way of unwinding!

Alongside my adventures in design and family life, I have a deep-rooted love for music. I'm not just any casual listener – I'm proudly in the top 1% of listeners on Spotify! Music is a constant in my life, whether I'm deep in design work or just kicking back at home. And there's nothing quite like the thrill of live music. Whenever I get the chance, I'm all about soaking in the energy of a live performance. It's these moments away from the drawing board, lost in the rhythm and melodies, that often spark some of my best creative ideas.

 Hi, I’m Bogdan Kiss. I’m a European-licensed architect who recently relocated to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

My journey with architecture started back in high school at Colegiul Tehnic Ion Mincu and continued through university from 2012 to 2018 at Universitatea Politehnica Timisoara. During my fifth year, a scholarship took me to Brussels to study at the Université Catholique de Louvain, which I followed with internships in Malaga and Seville, Spain. Seeing how different cultures build and design really opened my eyes, ultimately leading to my B.Arch. and M.Arch. degrees, along with a specialization in restoration.

After school, I worked at two different architecture offices where I had the chance to be part of the design team for a variety of publicly funded projects like hospitals, schools, sports, and cultural facilities, while being really passionate about BIM and sustainable design. Eventually, getting to lead a nine-person team shifted my focus to the big picture. I stepped right into project management and construction administration, working directly with the city, managing clients, and guiding projects all the way through the final build.

I always like to keep learning, so I got certified as a Project Manager in 2021, passed my architectural licensing exam in 2022, and became a Passive House Designer in 2024. Earning my license inspired me to take a leap and start my own architecture business back in Romania. It was a rewarding experience that I put on hold when my family had the exciting opportunity to move to the US. Now based here in Dallas, I'm working on a fun mix of commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

When I’m not working, I’m usually at the gym, playing video games, reading, or taking long walks in nature or through cool neighborhoods with my wife and our Pomeranian. I speak Romanian and English fluently, and I can still hold my own in Spanish and French!
